Hometown Hero Returns

Join the Illinois Patriot Riders in welcoming home local soldier Matt Muentnich this Saturday, December 17, 2011. Community members, supporters and friends are invited to line up at the Home Depot in Shorewood, near the intersection of Route 59 and Black Road, beginning at 1 p.m. The Patriot Guard Riders will begin the welcome at 1:30 p.m. and escort Muentnich from Black Road, west to River Road,......south to Jefferson Street, east to Route 59 and will end at Mark’s on 59 in Shorewood.

All are welcome to then attend an open house in Muentnich’s honor at Mark’s on 59 from 2-4 p.m. Muentnichjoined the Marines in February of 2010. He departed for Afghanistan in May of 2011, and returned to the U.S. this past November after surviving two roadside bomb attacks.See More
